Semi-permanent make-up is a fantastic treatment which gives lasting colour all day long and is especially effective for sporty people.
Semi Permanent Makeup otherwise known as Micropigmentation or Cosmetic Tattooing is a technique completely safe, approved by doctors, and promoted by beauty journalists to be the fastest growing make-up technique around. This clever procedure, delicately applies colour pigments to the dermal layers of your skin. It is called semi permanent because although it lasts a long time it is not permanent and usually lasts for one to three years, sometimes even longer.
Lips can be tinted to give more colour and given more shape or the natural shape enhanced. Thin lips can be made to look thicker and therefore younger with the lip contour treatment. Eyes can be enhanced and made to stand out with eyelash and eyeliner treatments. This is particular good for those with fairer skin who wish to enhance their eyes. Eyebrows are also important and these can be given a lift and a better defined shape giving a much younger look. We can give a natural looking brow using small 'hair' strokes. Again this is very useful for fairer hair types or those with little or no brows.
The pigments used to colour the skin are natural iron oxides, these are hypo-allergenic and have been in use for over two decades, they have been approved by the medical profession and there have been no known cases of any allergic reactions. No other ingredients are added such as emollients or fragrances

Question:Is it painful?
Answer: There is minimal discomfort with the use of local anaesthetics; some clients may feel a slight prickling sensation.
Question: What are the advantages of this treatment?
Answer: It saves a lot of time that would be spent putting on makeup and reapplying.You can look good at any time of day, even first thing in the morning.
Question: Who would you recommend would most benefit from this treatment?
Answer: People with sight problems, as applying makeup can often be difficult if you need glasses for close-up viewing. Those that cannot tolerate conventional makeup, due to allergies. Anyone in situations where they are likely to perspire a lot, such as trainers and sports people. Anyone a busy schedule or in the public eye that always need to look their best.
Question: Is the procedure safe?
Answer: All items used are sterilised to avoid infection. New single use, sterile, disposable needles are used for each client to avoid the risk of cross contamination. Please note that the procedure on the lips can cause an outbreak of cold sores in those that are prone to them.
Question: How long does it take to heal so I am able to go out?
Answer: The day after a procedure, the area treated will feel dry to touch, this will disappear after a few days. For the first few days the pigmented area will appear darker than the final shade, this will lighten by about 30% as it heals. There is no need to cancel going out as the dryness and darkness of shade is barely noticeable.
